2021 Percussion Theatre -A Tale of Clay
Dedicated with Love on the 35th Anniversary of the Ju Percussion Group
With the attitude of pursuing “better and better”, and after the difficult process of “breaking down and starting over”, the Percussion Theatre – A Tale of Clay has received numerous accolades and is widely popular among the audience. Rooted on this piece of land and built upon the memories of “home”, A Tale of Clay tells of the original intention with rustic emotions and innovative approach to create moving and inspiring chapters. “What’s encouraged by the society would appear.” In January 2021, the Ju Percussion Group has chosen A Tale of Clay as the show to represent its 35th anniversary. This performance resonates with the JPG’s unchanging belief and constant struggles. The JPG invites the audience to enter the theater and bring warmth and hope to our homes.
The Crossover between Percussion Music and Clay Art
The Percussion Theatre – A Tale of Clay is based on the local customs and family stories in Luzhunan of Miaoli. The crossover between percussion music and clay art creates resonance. With the application of digital art and theatrical elements, the performance has been polished and refined, and has turned the warmth of Taiwan’s local communities into inspiring notes in percussion music. Through the contrasts and metaphors, this performance presents the sincere affection for “home”, thereby bringing profound and unique feelings to the audience, and embracing eternity in the changing and the unchanging.
